Financial Reports

Troop Financials are now be submitted via the VTK (Volunteer Tool Kit) Financial Tab by Troop Leaders or Assistant Leaders. 

 

Here are the details...

  • Troop Treasurers: ACTION required in early May

  1. Financial Tracking worksheet – Continue to track troop financials throughout the year. Use the form to outline all Troop Financial transactions between May 1 and April 30. ​Detailed instructions are located HERE.

  2. Bank Statement – Download your Wells Fargo Troop bank statement for April. Instructions located HERE.

  3. Send to your Troop Leader – the Financial Tracking worksheet AND April Bank statement

  • Troop Leaders: ACTION required before the end of May

  1. Submit Annual Financial Report via the VTK – Use the data provided in the Financial Tracking worksheet provided by your Troop Treasurer to submit the Annual Financial Report (AFR) in the VTK Financial Tab to SD Council.  Upload 2 attachments: Financial Tracking worksheet and April Bank Statement for your troop.

    • note: Troop Treasurers will not be able to access the VTK Financial tab to submit AFR only leaders or assistant leaders can submit AFR.

    • Troop  Financials will no longer be turned in to the SU Treasurer BUT your timely submission is important!  In order for the SU to qualify for the annual President's Award, 90% of all SU troop financials must be submitted before June 1st.

Opening a Troop Bank Account at Wells Fargo

When you are ready to open a troop bank account or make changes to signers on the troop bank account, email troopbanking@sdgirlscouts.org  The email should include the following:

 

  • Subject line – SU(620)/TROOP####/NEW ACCT REQUEST

  • Wells Fargo Branch Location Name and Address (ATMs/Locations locator link at www.wellsfargo.com)

  • Primary Signer/Troop leader name, address, phone number (must be registered adult member, background check completed and cleared)

  • Secondary Signer name, address, phone number (must be registered adult member, background check completed and cleared and not related to primary signer)

 

An “Account Open Request Authorization” form will be emailed and mailed to you with your next steps to complete the new account process.

 

Please note that the following regarding all Girl Scouts San Diego troop/group bank accounts:

  • All troop/group bank accounts must have two non-related signers.

  • Signers must be registered members of Girl Scouts and have completed and cleared background check.

  • Although troops with $0 or less than $50 can open an account, an initial deposit must be made within 30 days of the account opening and any account with a zero balance for 30 days is subject to closure.

  • Please allow 5-7 business days to receive your ATM/debit cards.
